For the First time in history the FIFA Football World Cup will be held in Africa and it promises to be an incredible event. With the Confederations cup having run extremely smoothly with no incidents we are confident that South Africa is ready to welcome the world.
Although many hotels are already fully booked, and while others are refusing to issue rates for June/July 2010 (in order to ask astronomical prices for a “last minute desperate grab”), Africa Calling has managed to find some hotel rooms available and we have them on offer.
We have sourced hotels in and around 3 major cities; Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg/Pretoria. Both Durban and Cape Town are hosting semi finals with the final match to be played in Johannesburg on July 11th.
This is now the time to book hotels, tours, rental cars and all other tourism-based activities. It is anticipated that in the next few months many hotels will be fully booked furthermore reducing the number of rooms available.
Our choices of cities have been reduced to three separate documents, Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg/Pretoria. On each of these documents you will find our listed properties. To obtain the latest information on any hotel with regards to number of rooms available, maximum occupancy, minimum number of nights as well as our competitive rates, then just sign up to our weekly update and you will always have the latest information on our property choices.
