Ever wondered what life was like on a horse farm, or on an African game reserve? Wonder no more as this project introduces equine care, techniques and skills together with basic conservation education. Nestled away in a private reserve, close to the Kruger National Park, our friendly volunteer coordinators will go out of their way to ensure that you not only improve your riding techniques, but will teach you about horses while at the same time ensuring an unforgettable holiday.

Situated at the “shark capital” of the world, this project introduces volunteers to the white shark – the most highly efficient predator on earth. Volunteers will regularly go out to see with the commercial dive boat (cage diving) and will not only assist in running daily dives (weather dependant), but will learn basic seamanship skills, conduct research on great white sharks and get wonderful opportunities to cage-dive with the sharks.

Join our staff of world renowned herpetologists as they educate the public as to the importance of snakes in the wild. Help them capture problem snakes from the surrounding area and release them back into the wild. Volunteers will get the chance to work in the reptile centre, handle both venomous and non-venomous snakes. Whether you love snakes, or dislike them, our curators will assist you to learn to appreciate these animals and see the beauty behind all snakes.

The centre is Africa’s largest dedicated raptor centre and if you are keen on birds (especially raptors), then this is the project for you. The owners of the project have devoted their life to conserving raptors and now you have the chance to assist them. Injured birds, daily flights, feeding, open-air shows, incubation of baby raptors, capture and releases are all in a days work at the centre. |
