Day 1: Arrival at Durban International Airport. Meeting and assistance on arrival. Our representative will assist you with the collection of your rental car, and will drive in front of you to your hotel to make sure you easily find your way. Check in at your hotel located on the Indian Ocean coastline, north of Durban. Overnight: The Boathouse, Ballito. (4*) Day 2 & 3: Two days at leisure to explore the tropical areas north of Durban. Sugar-cane farms, cosy seaside resorts and the Indian Ocean with comfortable swimming temperatures all year 'round. You may like to take an optional tour, perhaps visit the world-renowned uShaka Marine World, or perhaps take a dolphin safari? You have easy access to all Durban's attractions. Overnight: The Boathouse, Ballito (B) Day 4: Drive north, into the heart of Zululand. Arrive in the small town of Eshowe, you may like to stop for a brief visit to see Fort Nonqqayi or take a walk on the "Boardwalk", high up amongst the tree-tops, in Dlinza forest. Arrive at a Zulu Cultural Village, where the afternoon and evening will give you an introduction to the Zulu way-of-life, as it was 150 years ago, through explanations, demonstrations, dancing and singing. Dinner and overnight: Shakaland OR Simunye Zulu Cultural Village, Zululand. (3*) (B,D) Day 5: After breakfast, some further Zulu interactions before driving to St.Lucia (approximately 2 hours' driving). St.Lucia is the hub of the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park - one of South Africa's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the afternoon, enjoy a River Safari on the St. Lucia Estuary, this offers a good opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles and a large variety of birds. In the evening, an optional Night Safari on the Eastern Shores. Overnight: Lidiko Lodge (moderate 4*) or similar, St. Lucia. (B) Day 6 - Day 10 >>>
